Thanksgiving Recipe: Pumpkin Spice Smoothie

Did you know that gratitude can actually help you become physically and mentally healthier? Thankfulness is a good practice to have year round if you want to continue to improve your health.

Now this recipe is not meant to be healthy, but it may be a bit better for you than that pumpkin spice latte that's been calling your name. Enjoy this delicious dessert smoothie recipe this Thanksgiving, and try on a little more gratitude (it will probably suit you!).

PUMPKIN SPICE SMOOTHIE RECIPE

Serves 2

  • 1 frozen banana

  • 1/2 cup pumpkin purée

  • 3/4 cup almond milk

  • 1/4 cup Greek yogurt (vanilla)

  • 1/4 tsp allspice

  • 1/4 tsp cloves

  • 1/4 tsp ginger

  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon

  • 1 tbsp honey/agave/maple syrup

  • Graham cracker crumbs

  • Optional: whipped topping

  1. Place all ingredients except for graham cracker crumbs and whipped topping in blender.

  2. Blend until smooth.

  3. Serve and garnish with graham cracker crumbs and whipped topping.

  4. Enjoy!

If you don't like things too spicey, use half the amount of spice.
